I took on Crossfit back in 2012 after suffering a serious broken leg and using every excuse not to go back to a typical chest pumping ego driven gym, I was encouraged by a friend to give it a go and haven’t looked back. I became a member at Langwarrin Crossfit in 2015 when I moved into the area. A much smaller box than where I came from, but this in my opinion gave it a greater sense of community. I was immediately welcomed into the gym and it soon became apparent that Langwarrin Crossfit was a close supportive group of like minded people. With members from all walks of life it’s a truly diverse group coming together for a common goal. It’s the support and guidance from coaching staff and members that I believe has allowed me to make massive improvements in areas that I previously struggled in. At ’50’ I get asked by “SOME” people , why do you lift heavy weights and push your self so hard at your age? Then there are the “OTHER” people who say wow I hope that when I’m 50 I can still train like you do. Well CFLW is a box filled with the “OTHER” people, the ones who take inspiration from who they train with. I love all my workouts, always leaving the gym feeling better than when I arrived. CrossFit Langwarrin has changed my life. I have always loved fitness but doing CrossFit has brought so much more into my world.
